Winrar problems

    Hi. Newbie here so bare with me...

    After I recently upgraded ALL my pc components, for some reason I cant extract rar files. I've worked with rar-files for years, but have never encountered this problem. I get crc failed and the file(s) are corupt on almost every rar file I try! I have tried different winrars and even winzip, but with no luck!! It doesnt matter where I download the file from, it could even be a zipped driverupdate and the problem still occur!! I did install a fresh xp on a new hd.
    Please help - I'm really stuck here
