    Hi everyone.
I searched this forum, but as far as I checked, I didn't find any message talking about my problem.

Every time I start my computer, the "WinXP activation" window comes up. I click YES in the activation, and after some seconds, it says "Done", and the PC continues running, and I can use it normally. But after I reboot the computer, the window pops up again, and I have to repeat the process.

The fact is that I have WIN XP installed in my computer for more than a year, but the problem started a month ago, in December.
Just in that time I was "fighting" against Malware, adware and Spyware that was installed in my PC, using software like Spybot, and following steps for deleting registries with the REGEDIT option.
So, a couple of days after dealing with the malware, this ACTIVATION WINDOW started to pop up every time I start my PC.

First I thought that maybe I deleted something in my dealing with Malware...
and I used the regsvr32.exe option to register some .dll files that are related to the WinXP activation, but it didn't work.

I went to the Microsoft web page forums, and there a lot of people complain about the same problem. There, a few people suggest some steps to fix the problem. I did almost everyone, but didn't help me.
The only one I didn't try was one about fixing the SP2 pack, by making a cd copy of the SP2, then deleting it, and reinstalling it. But I'm afraid I can damage more my pc by deleting the SP2, so that's why I didn't try that step. Besides, I installed the SP2 some time before the problem came up.

And Formating my pc is not an option, because I have too much personal files in it to save them all in cd's. Including that it'll take me too much time to move them all to cd's.

That's why I prefer trying to fix the problem directly.

And I see a lot of people complaining about the same problem. So I can see it's an important problem. I don't know why no one comes up with a general fixing step in the microsoft page.

    I'll appreciate any help.

    Hey

Dude, I had exactly the same problem except my 30 days 'ran out' (after I registered multiple times) and i couldn't acces my PC. After a whole lot of swearing at the Microsoft helpline people, they put me through to a technician who went through the problem step by step on the phone. Unfortunately I can't remember the steps, all I remember is him telling me to remove stuff in my 'system32' folder and then telling me it was some sort of virus or trojan or something. SO ... get in touch with your MS helpline and give em hell until they put on a technician.

    Good Luck.
