I found this app: http://majorgeeks.com/File_Association_Fixer_d6366.html but it appears to be for Win7/Vista only. I need one for Windows XP Home. The file associations are COMPLETELY jacked up!!! I read a few threads here at MG that were about messed up file associations, and found nothing of use except for possibly scanreg /restore from a command prompt....

    THANKS!

Yeah- I already went to the Doug Knox site and used his .EXE fixer so I could at least install some software. I had totally forgotten about SREng!!! About a year ago or so, I used SREng all the time, then it kind of 'fizzled out' of my repertoire. Not that there's anything wrong with SREng, I had just forgotten it was out there.... thanks for the reminder... the main thing I need is an all-in-one file extension fixer for WinXP, and hopefully SREng has it... I'll check it out now.
    :-D

You know, to me, it seems that the File Association Fixer you found should work on XP just the same as Vista and Windows 7.
