WINXP Home and memory question

    I recently purchased 2gb of additional memory for my comp for a total of 4gb. However due to WINXP Home 32-bit it only shows 2.5gb. Does this mean that it is only going to use 2.5gb or will it use the full 4gb but only show 2.5? The memory shows up in the bios and everest and sandra as 4gb. If I upgrade to WINXP Pro 64-bit will it see and use the extra RAM?
