Hey gang, quick random question, and a quick THANKS to all of those who have helped me previously...for some reason, the icons on my desktop have a blue background box, whereas other XP computer have a clear background, which I find very attractive...I have tried EVERY setting change possible, does anyone know what it could be??
    thanks

In System Properties -> Advanced tab -> Performance Settings button -> Visual Effects tab, check "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop".

TheDoug, I owe you one man, I really appreciate it...ya know, nothing major involving the operation of my computer, but an aesthetic flaw that bothered me, and you fixed it, which is HUGE dude, thanks a TON!
