    Hey!

I tried to reformat a computer, which I believe hasn't been reformated before. I've done this dozens of times before, but now I got a brand new problem related to it. When I put the disc in, rebooted and then selected the option to boot from disc, it got stuck. It gives the first message, something like "Installation is going through your hardware" and then just shows blank screen. I let it be there for 10-15 minutes, still nothing. I tried swapping another CD drive in, exactly the same results. I also tried multiple CDs.

Current OS: Windows XP & Mandriva (root password unknown) in dualboot
    Mobo: Asus P5K
Disc media: Windows XP Professional 32bit Volume/Business License
