    Hey
I was having trouble booting up my 2nd computer so I am running the repair off of the winxp disk.
It was going through its thing copying files over but stopped each time with not being able to copy four files.
    stdole.tlb
    mnmdd.sys
    3dfxvs2k.inf
    adm_mult.inf
I pushed escape to not copy files to finish loading.
I have searched on my other pc and and found these files. Do I need these files on the pc that I am repairing. If so can I copy them to disk and put them in the right spot.

Also when win was at the point of installing win many other files were missing.
To many to copy down, but here are a few.
    cldcatq.dll
    comuid.dll

I am reloading from a Dell re installation cd.
Will I have to reformat and start from scratch?

The two .inf files I wouldn't worry about too much, they're driver files and if needed, you can install the driver (one of 'em is for an older 3dfx video card). But the .dll files are probably pretty important. I've had the same error with the cldcatq.dll file (and some others) and the Windows XP install never was stable, so I reformatted, and that fixed the problem. It's generally not a good idea to use Dell software on a non-Dell PC for obvious reasons....
