WinXp won't resume from standby

Hi Everyone well about a week or so ago I developed an issue with my system not resuming from standby when I moved the mouse, it would go into standby fine.I checked everything, acpi was enabled in bios, power management was all set up right couldn't
figure it out,then last night it came to me if standby is a acpi function in bios and it is enabled then i must have to reset my bios, so i cleared cmos jumper,restarted system
and lo and behold it works.Just thought i would pass this on to anybody who might have this issue.Oldstumpy2

 

dumb question--how do you clear cmos jumper? I haven't messed inside a computer in ages. Thanks for help!
