wipe hard drive question

I am selling a laptop to a friend and want to wipe the hard drive but leave windows 7 on it. Is this possible? Also, would like to leave Office 2010 on for him. Any way to do this? Appreciate any help.

 

there isn't such a way to do that unless you do it manually through add/remove programs and leave windows 7 and office 2010 on or wipe the hard drive completely and put windows 7 back on from disc and office 2010 aswell.

I would recommend in wipe complete and put windows 7 and office 2010 back on from disc otherwise you could run in to problems

 

If you have a recovery partition do a factory re-install. Then download one program to wipe all free space. Maybe even run it twice.

 

AOMEI Partition software is able to wipe hard drive and partition. may be you can wipe the partition expect system partition. after you finish wiping, the data can't be recovered by any recovery software, so backup the data that are important for you. hope my advice can give you some help

 

Iv e done a factory reset. Is it necessary to use a wipe tool now too? Thanks for the replies guys

 

Run CCleaner Portable. Click Tools and at the bottom of the list is Drive Wiper. Ensure Wipe is set to Free Space Only. Select a Security level. Level 3 is good enough. The higher the level, the longer it will take. If you have more than one drive or partition, select all of them.
