wiping hard drive totally?

I need some software to securly overrite a hard drive rather than relying on format which as we know does not destroy data.. this drive is being given to someone else and i want ALL my data removed securly first.. help please

 

Check out this thread from a few days ago, regarding the exact same thing. It sounds like the program of choice is ERASER, from which a boot disk can be made & the hard drive can be wiped & overwritten randomly as many times as you see fit.
