wireles networking

I have bellsouth dsl with aq versalink 327 router. I have a problem or two with it dropping one of my computer connections all the time. I have a notebook woth a belkin 54g card and i use the netopia usb from bell. the notebook works fine other than if i get more than a 10 feet away the connection drops to low to very low.(i have three comps by the way conneted to wireless) the two that are the farthest away youd think would have the lowest reception!?! well the one with windows me is always on NEVER a problem the next on drops the line at least every 10 mins. It has windows xp .Anyone got any suggestions?
