I recently purchased a wireless ready notebook pc. Its capable of connecting to a wireless A. G. pr B? At this moment I have a wireless G (WAP54G) access point. But since i can connect to wireless A should i go out and get the wireless A + G access point? will that improve on performance? or will it feel the same as just using the wirelss G?

no, you can only connect with one protocol at a time. Stick with G for 54Mb action :)

i know i can only connect to one at a time. "A + G" was on the box. I know i am not going to connect to both of them at the same time. So your saying G is Better than A?

in doing a little more research, apparently the A runs in a 5GHz band so you can connect simultaneously with A+G. Which means even more Bandwidth. Interesting.

Got to be. In this world of IT, you have to know at least the basics of everything so you can communicate with others who are specialists in the field. I learn new stuff every day. I just started into wireless and I'm finding (like this dual band A+G) that there are little nuiances that I have to learn. But most of all..it's fun ! :)
