I recently restored my computer to get rid of viruses and fix its speed. Now that everything is working good, but my only problem right now is that the wireless PCI adapter isn't working. It keeps giving me a message that there is a cable unplugged...i don't have the installation cd-rom but I downloaded the setup program from the manufacturer's website (it's a Realtek RTL8139) But that did close to nothing at all. Does anyone out there know of any solutions?

    Thanks

Although not the same brand, other wireless cards I have installed always require the driver to be installed before physically installing the card in the computer. Try uninstalling the card in Device Manager, shut down, and remove the card from the machine. Reboot, run the driver setup, shut down and replace the card. When you power up Windows should detect the card and install the driver.
