Wireless Camera & Security

I have a problem I live in a college town and rent a house with a friend from school so we get alot of traffic through our place. Lately, things have been coming up missing so like anyone I want to know who it is. What I need to know from the people of this forum is the best wireless cameras or webcams for the job so I can catch this person(s) in the act and so when me and my roommate deal with person(s) ourself we'll have the video for later as proof of the thieft for the meatwagon and toycops if/when they show. I would like to be able to record all video to my desktop in any format other then .ram, .mov, or .wav. I need to be able to connect multiple cameras so that i have all rooms in the house covered.
