Wireless compromised?

I'm using a wireless connection to reach the internet on a second pc and when I open the wireless utility there is another ssid showing along with those I use. I have no idea who "willie" (the name in the config utility) is. I brought up my concern with my service provider, but they tried to assure me that it's just the wireless picking up another signal in the area and that I should not be concerned.

I am concerned because I have no idea what's actually going on. Prior to some connection problems, which my sister called tech support about, there were no other ssid's showing up, but after they walked her through a solution we are now greeted by willie.

    Should I be concerned?

No need to be concerned about seeing other SSID's, it's quite normal in a built-up area :)

Thanks for a speedy reply satrow,

I was concerned because I have the knowledge to put the hardware together and almost no knowledge when it comes to security/software type issues, hence, I depend on this forum a great deal.

    Thanks again:wave
