Trying to help a friend resolve a connection issue.
He is running a desktop with WIN 7 and has a laptop on the network as well. Last couple of days his desktop continuously drops connection.

He has reset the router and modem, and his wife's laptop is just fine. They both connect thru a wireless connection.

We ran the microsoft scan and it found nothing. I have uninstalled his network card and reinstalled it.

I dont know where to look for solutions other than here. It has to be something with his computer but what? :banghead
    Thanks for your help.

ok a little more information.... when watching the "Local Area Connection" it says "Network" then changes to "Network Cable Unplugged" then immediately back to "Network"
Sometimes it says "Identifying..." and this happens like a cycle every 3-10 seconds.

I hope this additional information will be helpful
    Thanks

Nevermind.... he was able to resolve it by replacing a cable. Sorry it was not wireless. thanks for looking.
