wireless connection trouble

hi people and a great site you guys have ere

ok im trying to connect to a wireless connection which i am using right now on a friends PC who is also connected through a wireless adaptor to his next door neighbour

ok on my laptop i am also trying to connect to the neighbours router which my laptop picks up the connection then asks me for the WPA key or Network key (are they the same) so i downloaded the windows thingy to show me what the WPA key was on my friends PC, so now when i put the WPA key in on my laptop it connects then about 2-3 or 4 seconds later it disconnects they connects then disconnects????????????????

do i need more information and how do i get it? whats going on (my laptop is wireless)

no i dont have permission but neither does my friend? and his connection works fine? im in thailand for 1 more week and i have some things 2 do on my laptop which i cant do on this PC (like apply for a job in the UK), like i said my laptop finds the connection and connets but disconnects a few seconds later??? i have the WPA key from my friends PC but cant seem to go anywhere from there, last time i was here my laptop connected to it fine????

any happy would be much appreciated thank.
