Wireless connection troubles

    I have a customers computer with a Netgear WG111 V3 USB wireless adaptor. On booting, the wireless software says its connected, and an IP address is assigned by DHCP. However on opening IE7 ( or Firefox) there is no connection. IE7 shows the Diagnose Connection option, which disables then re enables the wireless, and then fails to get an IP address. If I simply unplug the USB*adaptor and reconnect it, IP addresses are found and all works. Any ideas?
