i have a question about a wireless connection of mine it's not that i'm having problems with it's just that i want to try something but i thought i'd better ask first. my question is is it possible to get a wireless connection to a computer through a wired connection of the other one. it sounds confusing but i'm going to straighten it out right now. i have a desktop that is wireless i have a wireless PCI card in it and i get internet from it. and i want to put another desktop on the network but i don't want to get another wireless pci card but i want to use both computers. so i want to be able to hard wire from the computer that has the wireless pci card to the computer that just has a gigabit port. is that possible to get internet connection to the computer that doesn't have a wireless pci card and get it from the computer that does have the wireless card?

you mean like an ad-hoc network?

why don't you just run down to the store and pick up a linksys for 40-50 bucks and a wireless card for another 50? I picked up my wireless cards on ebay for 20 shipped on ebay brand new.

yes, you can use the network from the other computer. if you mean network as in the network in your house. from my experience, anytime I wanted to hook 2 computers together, I used a router. you're much better off picking up a wireless card and slapping it into your computer. it would be the cheapest and easiest solution. If there is another solution, I would love to hear about it
