I have a wireless network and use it for Xbox Live, but the router is on the complete opposite of the house form the xbox, and it doesnt get a very good signal. I've been looking at range extenders from Netgear (the dual boxs that plug into the router and the wall) and Linksys (the one unit, which looks like the better and cheaper option). My router is a Belkin 802.11g w/ High Speed (can reach speeds of 125 mbs). Its the silver one. Which one do you recommend, and is it just plug the thing into the wall and maybe run a CD on the computer, and it takes in the signal and makes it stronger?

30 degrees seems pretty narrow, and it looks...odd.

All depends on what you are trying to do. The Cantenna (based on Pringles Can technology) is a directional attena - if your position(s) are fairly fixed, that's going to be better than anything. On the other hand, move out of that 30 degree cone, and bad mojo ... so for most house applicatins, my guess is you will probably want an Omin-directional attenna.

will it be 30 degrees and then the normal wireless range from the router working too, because on the site, it looks like the cone connects to the router through one of the 3 or so LAN connections. If the routers original range and then working with it is the Canenna, then thats perfect.
