I have just set up a wireless network in my house using a Netgear router and Linksys PCI card. It was incredibly easy to set up and I've been browsing the internet happily on both computers (one wireless and one wired to the router).

However, I was also under the impression that I'd be able to access files on one computer from another via "My Network Places". This isn't the case at the moment. I went to "My Network Places" and found it empty. I want to know if there's some wizard I have to run or some settings I need to change before I can "see" the remote computer in "Network Places".

    Thanks a lot

under your local connection properties ...do you have file and print sharing? ....

Do you have the exact same user and login password on both computers and have accessed that profile at least once on both?

Yeah I have it, and it's turned on. I have the same User login on both accounts but only one has a password.

What I really want is just to see the computer in My Network Places, and to be able to double click on it and access all the files.

I've done everything in both those articles and still I am unable to access files from different computers.

    Any more ideas?
