A friend of mine was given an old HP Pavilion dv5000 notebook that was running XP Pro sp3. It was given to him after it was factory restored from the recovery partition, it works fine but he says there's no wireless anymore, not any wireless hardware at all, like it doesn't exist. He plays games online with it connected to his router by cable. Any ideas on how he can get the wireless back other than buying and adapter ? He was told that it had wireless before the restore, and the guy didn't back anything up. Thanks guys.

Yea buddy, he's checked, it's not even listed, like it was never there.

I just purchased an HP laptop and had a myriad of questions.
