hey, again i need wireless internet help, well remember i had the crapyest version of wireless router and usb reciver well now i got the best D-link router and the secound best D-link USB reciver. Ok so my router is D-link AirPlusXtremeG High speed 802.11g wireless router a DI-624. My Wireless USB reciver thingy is a AirPlusG 802.11g/2.4Ghz Wireless USB Adapter, a DWL-G120. Well its works great now and i can now play my necromancer on Diablo2exp.(the reason i couldnt at all b4 is bc my necromancer summons lots of skels and golems and revives creatures as well as cast spells so it would require alot more bandwitdth, so when ever i would play i would always loose connection, same with casting constantly with my sorc.) and all CS servers and much more i couldnt do. But now my signal strength is way low in the guter now, its always poor and like 35%, oppose to it used to be like 70%. I dont know why i got a better device and stuff. Well are there any booster programs for singal or something i can do to better anything in D-link or my OS (Xp-home)? Anything appriciated, thx in advance!

    Hi,
Not to be mean, but I see no ones replied and to be honest, its a very long rambling and does not make sense to us at most points. Most of dont know what a necromancer, golem and the like are nor how we are to relate this to your problem. Try to stick to specifics, ie, your games all work as you expect now.

Whats relevant is the speeds and\or connections your getting. Frankly, I got a Linksys booster and it didnt help me too much so I went with Microsft stuff and am happy. The other confusion is that you say you can do all you want , but your signal strength is low. If the signla stregth is low, thats not a big deal unless you want to max out 54 mbps sharing computers together. Otherwise for gaming, a good or better signal is enough, as you internet connection probably cant even touch a fraction of what your wireless can do. So dont be fooled by a signal thats not excellent, its probably not relevant for your situation.

Next up. On my wireless connection, I am the primary machine. Im on the most, I play the most games, use the most bandwidth, so I am near the router and cable modem and I am plugged into the ethernet port in the back, the other 2 machines are wireless. In other words, if it were me, main machine should be plugged into the ethernet, not wireless to ensure a rock solid connection.
