I am having a lot of strange problems connecting to my router with my laptop via a wireless card. Here is a summary of what is happening:

    - My laptop does not always pick up a signal from my router even if I am a few feet away

    - Sometimes after refreshing the network list or resetting my laptop it loses all the signals that were previously on the network list (usually I get at least 4).

    - The rare (very rare) occassion I can connect I get the limited or no network connection error message

I have never had a problem connecting until a few days ago and my gaming system picks up the signal just fine. Any ideas on why suddenly I cannot connect? I can't figure out why it won't pick up my signal but I can pick up others.

okay, I am able to get it to connect more often now and I consistently get the limited or no network connection error message.

Here is an update. I deleted my connection and my wireless network was showing up (as secured), so I reconnected and entered my security code.

After connecting, my network now shows up as unsecured. Why is it now showing up as unsecured if it was showing up as secured before connecting?
