If it worked before we need more specifics. A couple of starting points might be to either update the firmware (check the manufacturer home page) or reset the firmware IF unplugging the router does not work. Of course you want to check your network settings to be sure your pc is seeing it and trying to connect.

This is a very generic answer until I get more info.

Hi, sorry but I havn't got a clue to do anyof what you said(my fault not yours!!!!!!)
I have only used the wireless connection at Malaysia Airport about 5 months ago. Today I wanted to use it at a Starbucks in Thailand.

It says Windows cannot configure the wireless connection.

If you have enabled another program to manage the wireless connection use that software(if I have I don't know how or even how to use it)

Then it tells me a process to follow to configure WZC, but I cannot do it!!!!!

The name intel appears on the network connections page, everything goes back to the above.

If you are unable to connect to the Starbucks, then it is the way their system is set up. Is the WiFi adapter showing up in Hardware/Device manager (no ! or yellow on the adapter)? Is it enabled in Networking Adapters? It is possible that the adapter got disabled by a key press.

What is the model of laptop? If a Dell or other, sometimes FNC+F2 turns on the WiFi adapter radio, on others, it is as simple as pressing a button on the case of the laptop (Compaq/HP has a button with a silkscreen image of a Antenna designating WiFi Adapter).

Also there should be a light that will either be lit up or not on your laptop showing if the adapter is active.

Is the WiFi adapter showing up in Hardware/Device manager (no ! or yellow on the adapter)? I wouldn't know how to look!!!!

Is it enabled in Networking Adapters? It is possible that the adapter got disabled by a key press. Like the above, I sit with blank face!!!!

What is the model of laptop? If a Dell or other, sometimes FNC+F2 turns on the WiFi adapter radio. It's a Dell F2 key I am okay with but FNC I do not know what that is.

Is there any way I can post a screen shot?

Since you sound unsure of what you have, maybe starting from the beginning helps.

What is the MFG and Model# of your Laptop?
    What OS are you using?
What Firewall software are you using?
What A/V software are you using?
Did this problem just start, or is it an ongoing problem?

Once we get to know what model and mfg of your laptop, that will help us further. Also since it is a Dell, they do have online support information at their website that may help you quicker.
