Wireless Internet Connected but not Working

Greetings! Thanks in advance for the help. Usually I can fix most problems by browsing message boards, but this has stumped me. I am connected to the Internet through a wireless router, but my Internet is not working - no packets sent or received. This all started after I did a safe mode virus clean with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise that removed Zeroaccess.m Trojan. When I restarted in normal mode the Internet was not able to access anything.

I have tried to restart the router and modem. My wife's computer has perfect access - no issues. Tried to do a repair on the connection - nothing. It failed to reconnect to the wireless network. Searched several sites and tried to look at the Firewall settings when a message came up that said "Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running." When I try to start the service it says that it cannot start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service. Tried to fix this through a Windows support posting, to include using "sharedaccess.reg" and a "Netsh winsock reset" but when I ran firewall.cpl it still wouldn't start the firewall.

I use the following regularly:
McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i (Most recent Scan Log with deletions is attached)
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51.2.1300 (last two Scan Logs attached)
Ad-Aware V.9.6.0 (no scan since before virus removal)

Please help me out! Thanks so very much for your time and attention.

 

Ok, so I tried other things and they are still not working:

- Downloaded and reinstalled XP Service Pack 3 with no effect
- Tried to connect through the wired LAN and still nothing
- Used WinsockxpFix and rebooted with still no effect

Somebody please help! I am running out of options.
