My dad has a laptop, and he uses it upstairs every night on wireless internet. The router sits right beside my computer, and between the router and my dad's laptop is probably 15 feet, which includes the 1st story ceiling/2nd story floor. He gets on his computer every night, and every night he has to repair his connection. He can't stand this, even though he lived with dial-up for so long, and I was wondering if there was anything that could be done.

Its been my experience that drivers can cause this--see if there is an update?

There are also 11 different channels, varying the frequency ever so slightly. There may be a more compatible channel.
