Well I guess the best way to start this is by explaining my situation. My family has just recently moved and where we are at now we have no way to get a high speed connection. Our local cable company wants somewhere around $6,000 to run the cable all the way up to our house and Verison doesn't offer DSL service in our town. My first idea was to try to get a satilite connection. So, we went with HughsNet and needless to say that service is a joke. I play alot of online games so it's going to have to be something quick enough so that I experience minimal lag. I guess my main question is: does anyone have any suggestions or names of services to look into? I have tried to do some research on my own but this dialup makes it next to impossible. One of the people i work with told me something about a yagi intena or something but I have no idea what they were talking about. Anyway thanks for even looking at this thread and I'll keep my fingers crossed...

look into a wireless broadband card, BUT check the service map first (if you have a cell phone & the service is good, then the aircard will be as well)

I too, live where there is no DSL. There is also no Cell service here. I went with Wildblue satilite service. Service is not to bad. But for gaming you'll want to go with at least the medium package. The monthy rate is about $80, may be other fees depending on the state your in.
