Just bought a wireless logitech mouse and keyboard. Had some initial difficulties with keeping them connected but got it going alright. Up with no problem.

Have a complete wifi system that is completely linksys b grade. No problems here either before the new addition. Setup is this, dsl to modem to router to access point. (router has primary computer plugged into it) From there wireless to another access point which acts as a repeater. This serves us very well, however irregularly there is a possible static problem which knocks out internet access. Pulling the plug on the router for a few seconds resets the problem.

After the addition of the Wireless keyboard/mouse by logitech the internet outage happens frequently when a portable computer is being used. (The portable computers all use the wifi cards, the only computer hard wired in is the main computer) When the portable computers are off, there are no problems. When we change back to a regular ps2 keyboard and mouse there are no problems either.

    Any ideas?

Something else, just as an add on.. went to best buy and talked to thier wifi guy there. Nice guy. He suggested that the Wifi B may not be fast enough and that i might think about changing up the router to a faster selection such as G

I also have a Logitech mouse/keyboard. Out of curiosity how were you able to fix the connection problems. I have zero problems with the keyboard, but the mouse disconnects periodically. Thanks

    Stealth,

hi there, there really were no big problems in fixing it. What i think happened is i set them up in the wrong order and so what i did is unplugged the entire unit from the back of the machine (the transmitter/reciever unit) plugged it back in and did everything again in the sequence it specifies on the instructions. I had not disconnected after getting it all set up properly. When you are talking about it disconnecting, how frequently would you say it happens?

Not very often, but sometimes when I reboot after an install or other function, the mouse cursor is frozen. Keyboard always works great. I just discovered that my keyboard and mouse were on different channels. Don't know if thats a big deal, but since I made them both the same I haven't had a disconnect. Thanks for your help. If it does it again, I'll do what you suggested.

    Thanks Dan
I am not sure that i believed the guy either. He said he had just talked to someone who had the same issue and was going to try to resolve it with the solution that he gave me. I was waiting to see if the results came back posatively. I couldn't say that i was a true believer because most of the people who work at best buy aren't even as much of a major geek as i am.

Just went and installed the logitech software for the keyboard and mouse. They are the Logitech access duo set. The pretty colored dark ones. So i read something in the documentation it installed about pressing the connect/channel button.

when and if the connection cuts out i will try changing the channels on the mouse/keyboard and then will report back
