wireless Lan questions

Greetings, I am interested in the type of wireless router and wireless antennae that would be used to transmit across an area of a large college campus. Also what sort of receiving antennae and wlan adapter would be used for each receiving client?

Unless I'm wrong, you are going to have to buy multiple WAPs (Wireless Access Points) to cover the entire area.

 

I think its probably possible to get high spec stuff from people like cisco for this kind of purpose but weather it would be spec'd as 802.11b rather than 2.11g which i assume you would want i dont know, its also likely to be quite expensive but slightly easier to controll than seperate routers equally there is obiviously a bigger issue if it ever falls over.. points to consider
