Wireless Laptop Problem

I have a desktop wired to a Netgear router running XP Home. I have just got hold of a Prestigio Visconte 120 laptop which the previous owner used wirelessly with his router. He had no problem with the wireless connection. I had to reload XP onto it and now it doesn't connect to my Netgear router. The Network connections show a LAN Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC and a 1394 Net Adapter. Nothing shows as a wireless connection
I am unsure what to do to get it to pick up my router. Can anyone give me any advice please. I have plugged in the router cable and it connected to the Internet ok but not wirelessly.
In device manager the Network Controller has a yellow question mark against it which shows as no drivers loaded for it, could that be the problem?

    Thanks in anticipation

That's probably it my friend... when you reload XP it will reload the drivers for certain devices in that laptop. Generally, Windows does a good job of installing those automatically, but sometimes not.

I would suggest either going to the windows update site (thru a wired connection) and see if it suggests a driver for the wireless card or if you can find out the vendor of the card go to their site as well.

    Cheers and good luck mate.

    Hope this helps.
