So I reinstalled windows 10 (going thru 7, 8 etc) about 6 months ago, would like to not do that again.
And I put a (MS if i remember) new wireless mouse on it about the same time.
The mouse is what made me think something was wrong, but still able to use the computer well enough(did dl much "free" music)
Decided to try your Guide to Malware Removal again, haven't tried in several years usually just going to factory reinstall.
This time I was very careful to read all your guide rather than just wing it with your tools.
    1) adwcleaner - said everything was fine.... then later steps got a little more interesting... I forget whether it is MGtools or MBytes that your directions seemed to imply that I had to actually quarantine (pseudo-remove) which I did... though one of the steps(tools) specifically said dont remove anything ... so I did not at that step.
So based on just a run thru of the steps the mouse is working better... right now!

I recall seeing a warning message on an application called "trueSight"(or was it True Site?) and I recall that my perusals of "MS program removal list in Control Box" has often looked suspicious... still did not remove anything at that time. Wanted to be a good camper and send you guys my logs exactly how you want them.

So I guess this creates a thread and I can bookmark it for any personal instructions.
    thank you trusted experts,
    gak

Your logs are clean. Whatever is screwing with your mouse is not malware. You can pursue this in the software forum.

Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8 or 10, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
