I've had my network set up for way over a year now and I haven't had a single problem with it. Yesterday though, I came back from school and came to find out that my notebook can't find the network I set up.

I know it's present, but for some reason my computer won't find it; it receives a signal from 6 other peripheral routers in my neighborhood but not mine.

This computer for which I'm writing is also part of the network but it's wired to the router. It's indicated that my laptop is being picked up but that isn't the case.

Assume I have all the latest installments of software applications. Thanks.

I'd check if your firewall settings have changed for some reason, either Windows or 3rd party.
Also, enable SSID broadcast on your router to see if your comp can pick up the network then. Turn back off afterwards.

changes in firewall settings could be it, the wired computer isn't used by me so i don't know what changes the ones who do do to it. I'll look into that, everything else checks out fine, it's always been broadcasting the SSID.
