Grheeetings, So here is the problem...
I had a full connection using my D-LINK DWL-G122 and my router is a linksys
wireless 56242. I had to unplug my D-link for a momment, but once I reconnected it I received a message telling my new hardware was found which didn't make any sense. I had to re install the drivers for the d-link. Once that was completed it shows in network connections that the
D-LINK is receiving packets now, but is locked on acquiring network address.
That is the problem I am having and need help. Once I click on the wireless network icon and look at the details pane on the bottom left it reads that the IP address and Subnet mask are both at 0.0.0.0? The encryption is disabled and the signal strength is good. So I hope someone can get back to me on this because Im running out of hair from pulling it all off my head...
P.S. Before anyone asks if I typed in the cryption key the answer is yes...

Is your linksys router running DHCP? if not then you wont get an IP. Just zeros like you described. Try manually creating the connection by typing in the ssid, wep key if your using it and IP address.
