wireless printer

Why does my wireless printer take forever to print. I have windows 7 and I have brother HL 2170W. When I print something today the document will print tomorrow. Somtimes I feel like throwing the printer out the window:tas

I have Dell laptop

 

If it truely prints the next day - are you rebooting the PC the second day and then it prints? Seems like your wireless connection may be dropping.

 

nope, even when the comptuer is off it will print the next day

 

Go in and reset the printserver on the printer, and let it use default settings. Also, if the manufacturer suggests a static IP, try that. The first place to look at, is the hardware that is having problems. Now, have you tried connecting wired with USB to the printer to see what happens? Make sure that it does not connect wirelessly to the LAN.

 

I hav tried that as well, it doesnt always happen, somtimes it will print and some day it will take even 1-2 days to print

 

Does the printer have a static IP?
Try changing the printer properities to print immediatly (no spooling).

 

What brand & model # for your WiFi router. Also, how is the network set up (computers connecting to router, etc).
