My netbook shows that it linked to our wireless router at home with a strong signal. But when you try to get on the internet, it says "can't find server".

Up until now it worked fine. Could it be a firewall problem ? If so any idea how to fix it ??

    Thanks

We have gone from a DSL to a cable service, but I think it worked after the switch, maybe not though.......

    Greetings, jnor.

Couple of quickies you might try (after each step, open a browser window to see if your symptoms have changed):

Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software (reenable if this is not your problem).

Download and run this Winsock Fix.

Click Start/Control Panel/Internet Options/Connections/LAN settings, make sure nothing is checked in Proxy server settings.

    Keep us posted. :major
