    Hello everyone~

For Christmas, my kids were given an old laptop so they could use the internet, and I just got it back from the shop today (the whole thing was only using the center of the screen, and the wireless card wasn't working). Well I brought it home, and now the wireless won't work with my router (card is an old Motorola card, my router's a linksys). The guys at the shop had it on their router, and one across the street, just trying it out. They suggested I find another router in town and try to access it. Also I should mention that I'm currently using my laptop XP on wireless. The computer in question is running 2000 Professional. I am pulling my hair out on this one! It also keeps flashing Local Connection 4 in the bottom and it won't load the home page at all. HELP Please!!!

Windows 2000 does not have a native Wireless utility you need a Wireless card that has its own utility in order to connect.
