    Hey Guys,
Quick question. How can I tell if my computer has wireless? The reason I ask is because, while I can't see anything on the case itself my Windows media player shows up on my PS3. making me think it may have wireless.
    Thanks,

Are you using an ethernet cable plugged into your laptop which is connected to your router which I take it that your PS3 is also connected to, if so then that may be why but if there is no direct cable running to the router then you have a Wi-Fi Card installed in your Computer.
I take it you're not that technically skilled...

I'm not ripping on you or anything but I do kind of take offense to that.
    1) It's a Desktop, That's why I asked.
    2) Yes. My computer is connected via Ethernet while my PS3 is connected via wireless

Easiest way is to check Device Manager, expand Network Adapters and see what you have listed. Ethernet controllers are wired. Wireless adapters generally have "wireless" in the description. If not, do some googling on unknown adapters.

    Hi Spock

Actually I do too on that comment as it was not needed and further comments like this will get your account deleted, this site caters for various users, ages, skills and only just joining and disparaging someone without knowing then is not on.

@Spock another way you can check yourself as well as lbmest's option is to check the Make and Model of computer on the makers site, so if its a OEM build say from HP, DELL, ACER etc then check on their site support your model number, some also accept like DELL the asset tag (code number that is usually on the back or underside of the PC) and that should tell you if your model came with Wireless.

If it was a home build then a little more difficult unless you or you know who build it can tell you, you can also use the likes of Speccy and once run click Network and look down the bottom at the Network Adapters listed, it will also tell you mid page if WiFi is on or not.

Likely as its a desktop, the Wireless card will have an aerial sticking out the back like a router has, so check for that, not saying that all of them will but ones I have seen do, so worth a check.

Right click the connection and choose enable.
As a side note, you should create your own thread from now on instead of tacking your question on to an existing thread.;):)
