Have you tried powering down everything and then bring it back up in sequence - modem, router , comp?
Give it a couple minutes off, then make sure you let the modem fully connect up before starting the next.

tried that and it was to no avail. I have logged into my Router setup for Netgear and I still can't get it to recognize the IP.
