Wireless router not transmitting

For some reason my laptop and Nintendo Wii are failing to pick up my wireless router signal.. They worked fine until yesterday but nothing is happening today. I have changed no settings and everything is as it was yesterday.Router is a ZyXEL (I think). Laptop is running Vista. Main PC is on XP.

 

First thing to do is power down entire network - modem, router and comps.
Then bring them back up in sequence, allowing the modem to completely connect and then router and then comps.
Can you receive other wireless signals from your laptop? If so the router may need to be reset to factory defaults and redo your connection.
If this doesn't work, the wireless may have give up the ghost.
How old is the router and have your ever tried to upgrade the firmware for the router?

Depending on the type of connection - cable, DSL, ADSL - if your ISP provided the router, it may actually be a modem/router combination.
(The modem connection on the computer is for dial up network connections.)
Can you give some information on the type of connection and model number and version of the router - ZyXEL ???
l would need to check some specifics on the router since I'm not familiar with that type.

 

OK. The route is a modem router combination and the model r is a ZyXEL P660HW-D1.
Connection: phone jack into router. Ethernet cable to PC.
