wireless router problems

    been using a wireless router with no problem , 2 days ago I tried to get online and couldnt . If I unplug from my router and plug directly into my computer I get online no problems it just wont go thru router . checked all connections, they are fine .only thing I have changed was my anti virus went from avg to antivir dont know if that could do it .using a linksys cable modem a linksys wrt54gv3 wireless router o/s is winxp . like i said been using it for months with no problems . could it have just gone bad ?is there a way to check it ? any help will be greatly appreciated

    Reconnect to the router and try to get into it ...192.168.1.1 ..?

    did that and it will go into it got it to clone pc's mac none of that helped didnt try dhcp release and renew , do not know if I should have.

    start / run / type "cmd" without qoutes ...in command prompt type
    ipconfig /all

    Post the results.

    Well, that's just wrong .....your gateway should be your router ip .....what is the ip config when you are hard wired to the router (this connects you to the net ....right?).

    ip is 192.168.1.100
    default 192.168.1.1

    Now that's right ....on the wireless connection ...right click it and do properties ...then configure on the wireless card and make sure auto ip and dns is checked ...then you should haave a tab for wileless hetworks ...and click on available networks ....see if it finds your wireless router ..
