and it will either not connect at all, or it connects at around .1 speedtest.net (see attached please). Mine is a Toshiba Satellite laptop, and my sister has a Desktop that works great plugged into router with ethernet. But if I remove her ethernet, it goes to same speed as my laptop, or won't connect at all. I plugged the ethernet into my laptop and it works at the typical "right" speed (please see 2nd attachment for speedtest).

It's probably the wireless router (D-link) but of course I'm not sure. Can anyone of you shed some light for me before I go off and buy another router?

    Thanks so much, Denise

PS Sorry I couldn't get the other attachment but the one is of our "best" speed, and the other showed a Ping of 38, dl =.07 and ul = .13 on speedtest.net

    Geesh,

I'm trying to wrap my brain around this, but by hitting the "reset" button on the router, I have my regular wireless speeds back.

What I would like to ask now, is this is the second time it happened in about a month. Would something called a Firmware update be beneficial?

    Thanks all, Denise

PS I'm sorry I didn't try the reset first.
