I am trying to buy a new computer and have narrowed it down to HP Pavillion and a T-60 Lenovo. But there are a couple of details I am not so sure about and would greatly appreciate any help from you friends.

    1)
What kind of "wireless" technology do the HP computers use?

Is it the same as the ones in Lenovo/IBM's Thinkpads?

    If not, which is better?

    2) Based on the conception that the new "Core 2 Duo" processors conserve energy and the batteries can run longer - and plz correct me if I'm wrong - I have been told that if basic applications are run ( like excell, word, ... ) even the HP's usually suspect batteries can run up to +3 or even 4 hours?

    Thanks a million everyone.

As a side issue, I wouldnt mind anyone helping me make the decision between the two comps which will be used for my business.

    here are some details:

    IBM/Lenovo T-60:
    Core 2 duo , 512 RAM ( can be upgraded to 1 GB ) , HDD 80 GB , 15" , 3 USB , 8 Cell Battery, XP Pro , ...

cons: expensive ( about 60% more than HP ) , heavy

    HP Pavillion:
    Core 2 duo , 1 GB RAM, HDD 120 GB , 15.4" , 3 USB , 6 Cell Battery , XP Pro, ...

cons: lesser battery life, apparently dubious wireless capability ( hence my question above )
