wireless trouble!!

Okay, so i got the WRT54G and the WMP54GS and tried to wirelessly connect through them. I got the connection up and running and everything to my wireless pc, yet it could never connect to the internet on it. I used the WINXP config and whenever i tried to repair the connection, it said the ip address could not be renewed. I even contacted the linksys reps but they had no answer to it. They just said that my ip was not valid. Anyone have any ideas?

 

so, if you log on to the router and do a DHCP RELEASE and DHCP RENEW, the router does not acquire an IP address from your cable/dsl modem?

 

n General, you can debug the Network Setting of the computer following these steps.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer's Device Manager. Make sure that the drivers are installed correctly; there is No IRQ conflict, and No Ghost installation. http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost

If the above two Steps indicates that every thing looks good but functionally it does not work.
