wireless wont come on

hi guys can any one help me i have a compaq presario r3000 running windows 7 the problem is that my wifi card in the notebook wont turn on all the drivers a correct and you can see it in the device manager and aslo ive tryed a netgear usb wifi dongle and that wont work ether it just seems like something is blocking them ive tryed them both on another laptop and thay are fine this has realy stumed me i dont no were els to turn its driveing me nutts lol :confused

What version of Windows are you running? If it's XP, be sure you have Service Pack 3 (SP3) installed.
