    Hi,

not sure if you are trying to wire directly to your mobo here..?

Your pc should have some inputs / outputs which are similar in size to a 3.5mm to headphone plugs size, at the rear near the usb slots typically color coded, pink, blue, green and others depending on your board. You should be able to just plug your devices into these. At least certainly the microphone using the microphone port at the back, there maybe a dedicated port for microphone or the line-in will do the same.

Ther are usually a icon stamped into the metal indicating which is which given this scenario.

If you dont have the manual or are got to motherboards.org and find the manual for your motherboard. In this there is a high probability that it will list exactly which port does which. If your microphone has a larger fitting than the port on the back there are adapters typically available from the local electrical store or audio shop.

    Hoped this helped.

If you have a microphone has a larger fitting than the port on the back there are adapters typically available from the local electrical store or audio shop, the guys in there should be able to help, just make sure you get a mono or stero adapter to suit your devices, if you are unsure take them with you.

    Hi

O.k now i know precisly what you meant, thanks for the update.

You are going to have to find the motherboard manual and reference that, it shows the way each cable is configured to which part of the mobos audio connections as these can be quite specific and dont want to give you bad info.

Dont forget to try the Asus website if you can go online, search / check for your mobo manual, it might be in pdf format download it, or on the drivers disc that shouldve come with the mobo if purchased new, then print the relevant page with the wiring diagram on it. It should indicate which audio jack on the mobo connects to each of the front audio ports, which you can then plug your mic etc into.

Sorry cant help more with this one, its just too specific for each motherboard.

    G luck.:)
