How do I remove the Windows live mail icon fron the systray?

if you have ccleaner installed use the start up manager and remove it from the start up list if you don't have ccleaner you can download it from here " http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_Slim_No_Yahoo_Toolbar_English_d4191.html ". hope this helps good luck.

A new problem had arisen in that, 'file' >send link does not work on the desktop but does on the lap. I think I need to reinstall the desktop.

May I ask, have you heard that WLM should work with Win xp sp 3 msie 8 oor should I go back to O.E? I google and it seems others are having troubles too.

to be honest with you i don't use windows live mail and i stopped using outlook express also.i know of people who have had issues with wlm even with vista.
reading up on the system requirements it should work with xp sp2 or higher 32 bit only " http://download.live.com/SystemRequirements ",so if you have xp pro 64 it wont run.
i have tried to update my windows live messenger to the latest version but it seems to have issues and wont work on my system. sorry i could not be of more help,maybe someone else here has more info that will help,good luck.
