WMP 10 rating issue

Hey guys,

Im using the final version of Windows Media Player 10 (upgraded from 9 and i never installed any of the betas) and i think its worth moving away from winamp for (call me crazy ) but there is one annoying issue with it.

The rating column for my playlists doesnt always show any stars - almost never in fact. If i move my mouse over it the cursor still changes to the hand but no image. When i turn off and turn on the ratings column all is back to normal - until i scroll down through the list of the seleceted playlist where none of the off screen songs titles show ratings.

Stranger still , when i look at the lists in auto playlist they always show the ratings.

This is really annoying ! Any ideas?

PS. What player would u recommand for 5.1 speakers? (i know mp3 is in stereo but plugins exist for 5.1 needs)

WMP 10 is a downgrade, not an upgrade, IMO.

As for the issues you mentioned, I have the same exact problems.

no way i disagree windows media player is great i love it the only thing winamp is good for is the online radio stations only becuase i cant figure out how to get them on WMP !

 

I agree Harry however do your ratings always show up or do you have the same problem as I? As it seems this might be a general issue with wmp 10 and not just myself
