WMP 11 Black Screen Video, Audio Works

I have several WMV videos and a handful of movies on my computer all of which worked until two days ago. I didn't download anything new or upgrade anything as far as I can tell. I searched the windows website thinking it may have been my WMP11 and searched on the forum here and saw a post that I should remove and downgrade my WMP down to 10 so I uninstalled the WMP11, went down to 10 and nothing worked so I found the thread that said it could be a codec missing so I installed this:

The videos worked again then last night when I went to play another video the same thing happened. Black screen, audio works. :cry
So I uninstalled the Vista Codec pack and reinstalled it and it didn't work again so I uninstalled it. I've reinstalled WMP11 along with WMP11 runtime and it still doesn't work.
I've attempted opening the files using Quicktime and a VideoLan/VLC player. Last night one of the videos worked while trying to use the VideoLan/VLC player so I tried the same video on the Quicktime player and it wouldn't work and none of them work using my WMP.
Please help! :confused I know I've installed codecs over the past few years and don't know if I have multiple codecs trying to do the same thing maybe messing with each other, etc, but I don't see any codec programs in my add/remove programs list and don't find any in my C/Programs folder.

I moved the performance slider down in the WMP tools/options and everything is fine now. :-o
