    Hi

Very likely you don't have a Codec installed to play this media file, so download and install these Codecs that should give you all the common Codecs.

    Vista Codec Package

yes I have this same error myself with vista WMP 11 which is how I found this thread I've tried everything I can think of but it does not allow me to downgrade to another version of WMP and it is making me angry I can't watch some of the music videos that I download no one anywhere on any forum has an answer aside from restore my computer but that is not an option for I have way to much to lose upon restoration wish someone would discover what it is exactly to save many people the headache clicking web help on the button tells you which error number it is but has no additional information on it

well I'm still having the issue whilst living on a budget and get really aggravated when something is wrong and I can't fix it so I'm sure there is a way just no luck so far but I'm damned and determined to get it

Too many codecs can screw up your machine and should only install a particular codec when required.

You can try installing G-Spot and then analyzing the video clip through that to see what codec is required, or find if there's something else that might be interfering with rendering.

Yea, that wont be happening..umm..ever. I have owned my mac pro for over 5 months now, and not encountered one small problem yet, I daily had problems with my pc, and I know the in's and out's of one. haha.

Doubt it since you couldn't solve a codec problem.
